Online and in person tar training based on Persian classical repertoire and use of authentic educational books which are certified by Iran’s National Music Academy including rhythm, Iranian solfeggio (sight singing) training, Tasnif, Rengs, and introduction of Miriam Abdollah Radif.
Violin Training
I know many people love to express themselves through music by playing a music instrument. Old or young, it’s never too late to start learning how to play violin. I specialise in providing teaching and training violin. My violin training is structured and personalised to YOU. Your learning style and what you would like to accomplish.
Lessons are individually tailored to help you meet your goals and cover everything from music theory to technique and how to care for your instrument.
Piano Training
Piano is perhaps the most universally appreciated sound in the world and the greatest platform to understand music. My piano lessons are fun and flexible way to learn one of the most popular instruments in the world. I welcome students from the age seven all the way through to adults. Students are paired by age and ability. I draw on a wide array of playing and teaching experience to provide top quality tuition. Work towards exams or play for your own enjoyment, the piano brings peace to all that hear its uplifting notes.
Learning Music Theory
Music makes the world go around, but do you actually know what it is? If you know nothing about music theory, this is the place to start. To really understand music, here are some of the best ways to learn music theory online or in person. The course takes you step by step through the different stages of making music. It’ll teach you the difference between drums, bass, chords, and melodies, and teach you the basics of beats, notes, and scales. The more you will appreciate your favourite songs and artists.
Singing For FUN
Many young or old people love to express themselves through music by singing. It’s never too late to start learning how to sing. Whether you are new to music or have always wanted to learn singing, have come to the right place. Lessons are specialised to help you to refine and develop the range of your voice technically.
About Us
Fariba Taghypoor, musician, music education consultant and specialist in Iranian music and Western Classical music, graduated from Tehran university with a master’s degree in music. She began her artistic career by teaching music to children and published a book called teaching music by Carl Orff method. She formed a number of choirs in different age categories and took part in many Iranian festival competitions. As a conductor of women choirs she won more than ten awards and was chosen as a best conductor in women’s choir. As a music teacher she tried to create new teaching methods in solfeggio (sight singing) and playing musical instruments. Her master’s degree thesis was about injuries sustained from repetitive actions while playing musical instruments. She proceeded to publish posters that illustrated special warm up exercises for people who play the violin and piano. She was a music lecturer in Soore university teaching singing. Was invited to judge youth music competitions in Tehran and other cities in Iran. She plays Tar (an Iranian string instrument), violin and piano. She learned Tar from the famous Iranian teacher Dr. Reza Lotfi, violin from Mariam Ghanbarimehr and piano from Aghdas Pourtorab. Her singing teacher was the famous Iranian female soprano Pari Zanganeh. After immigration to England she engaged in various musical activities such as Big Sing, Lindow Sing choirs, playing violin in Noisy Women, Wilmslow URC bands and accompanying the Iranian Hamdel Ensemble in their performance in Edinburgh festival playing the Tanboor and singing.
